FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How much are the fees?
A: Fees are $250, they are paid once a year at the beginning of the fall semester.
Q: When are the practices?
A: Practices are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we also have practice on the Thursday before each tournament.
Q: Are the practices and fundraisers mandatory?
A: Practice is mandatory at least 1 time a week, but 2 times a week during the week of tournaments. Fundraisers are also mandatory. Each member is expected to help with at least 2 fundraisers a semester, there will be at least 1 fundraiser a month therefore there are plenty of opportunities for fundraising.
Q: How often are tournaments?
A: Tournaments are normally no more than once or twice a month. Tournament schedules will be given out at the beginning of the school year, during the interest meeting.
Q: How long do tournaments last?
A: While some tournaments only last one day, some do last two days. For all tournaments we leave on Friday and come back on Sunday.
Q: What do we pay for at tournaments?
A: The only things members are personally responsible for on trips is food. Gas, transportation, and hotels are all covered by the club.
Q: How do we get to tournaments?
A: For all tournaments out of state we travel together in a van driven by our head coach, Glynn Arceneaux and Assistant Coach Rob Clark. We normally take a 10-15 passenger van with a trailer on the back for all bowling equipment and travel bags.
Q: Will any class time missed due to tournaments be excused?
A: The coach and officers will insure that you will get your excuse for missing class, however it is your responsibility that your teacher(s) get it.
